Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Zeekr has announced plans to update its flagship electric MPV, the Zeekr 009, with a launch scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

The company released a teaser for the refreshed model on Friday, confirming that the vehicle will adopt a full-stack 900-volt high-voltage electrical architecture. The updated MPV will also feature the new-generation Nvidia Drive Thor-U driver assistance processor.
Zeekr said additional specifications and product configurations will be announced at the official launch event. The upgrade is expected to focus on improving charging performance and enhancing the vehicle's intelligent driving capabilities.
The Zeekr 009, originally introduced in 2022 with deliveries beginning in 2023, currently serves as the brand's flagship MPV in the Chinese market. The model is available in three main variants priced from 439,000 yuan ($63,620), 459,000 yuan and 469,000 yuan.
A higher-end version, the Zeekr 009 Grand, is also offered with two variants starting at 789,000 yuan and 899,000 yuan respectively.
According to Zeekr, the 009 has remained the best-selling MPV priced above 400,000 yuan in China for two consecutive years.
The current model uses an 800-volt electrical architecture, which the company said provides competitive charging efficiency, range and performance. The upcoming update will raise the voltage platform to 900 volts, potentially enabling faster charging and improved energy efficiency.
Ahead of the new model's release, Zeekr has introduced promotional incentives for the existing 009 lineup, including financing offers such as a seven-year low-interest loan or a five-year zero-interest payment plan.
Automakers in China have been intensifying competition in the premium EV segment in recent years, with manufacturers introducing new technologies and product upgrades to attract high-end buyers.
