Geely's premium electric vehicle brand Zeekr has launched pre-sales for its new hybrid SUV, the Zeekr 8X, as it seeks to strengthen its position in China's competitive high-end automotive market.

The Zeekr 8X starts at 376,800 yuan ($54,640) and is offered in four variants-Max, Ultra, Ultra+, and a special Yaoying edition-priced up to 516,800 yuan. The model follows the launch of the larger Zeekr 9X and represents the brand's second hybrid SUV.
Built on Geely's SEA-S super electric hybrid architecture, the Zeekr 8X features a 900-volt high-voltage system and combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with either dual-motor or tri-motor electric configurations.
The top tri-motor version delivers up to 1,030 kW of total output, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.96 seconds, placing it among the higher-performance vehicles in its segment.
The vehicle is equipped with a 70 kWh battery, offering a pure electric driving range of up to 410 kilometres under CLTC standards. Combined with a full fuel tank, the total driving range reaches 1,416 kilometres.
Zeekr has also introduced a new advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) in the 8X, branded G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving). The system, developed jointly with Afari Technology, uses dual Nvidia Thor chips and provides up to 1,400 TOPS of computing power to support advanced driving functions.
The Zeekr 8X is expected to enter retail channels and begin deliveries in the second quarter of 2026, following a delay from its originally planned launch in late 2025.
The model builds on the momentum of the Zeekr 9X, which recorded over 10,000 deliveries in December 2025 and contributed to a record monthly total of more than 30,000 vehicles for the brand.
Zeekr also plans to introduce an updated version of its flagship MPV, the Zeekr 009, later this year. The model will be upgraded with a 900-volt architecture and Nvidia's Drive Thor-U chip.
The launch of the 8X highlights Zeekr's strategy to expand its premium hybrid and electric vehicle portfolio while incorporating high-performance powertrains and advanced computing systems.
