Plans for local production had previously been signalled in December when Ding Yongfei outlined the project during a visit to a supplier in Spain. The supplier, Lieder Automotive, is preparing to produce chassis components for the B10 locally and supply them to the nearby Stellantis factory.

Lieder Automotive is a joint venture between Chinese manufacturer Duoli Technology and Basque supplier Fagor Ederlan. Production of components for the B10 is expected to begin in July 2026, aligning with the planned vehicle assembly timeline.

While the B10 is the first confirmed model for the site, additional vehicles could follow. According to earlier comments from Leapmotor executives, models such as the B05, A10 and A05 may also be produced in Figueruelas from 2027. The A10, currently sold in China, is expected to be marketed in Europe under the name B03X.

The Leapmotor B10 is a 4.52-metre battery-electric SUV positioned between the compact and mid-size segments. In Germany, imported versions currently start at around €29,990, with higher-spec variants priced at approximately €33,990.

International operations are managed by Leapmotor International, which is owned 51% by Stellantis and 49% by Leapmotor. The joint venture oversees production and distribution of Leapmotor vehicles outside China, while the Chinese parent company retains responsibility for development and domestic operations.

Stellantis has also been expanding the brand's European presence through its dealer network. The company says more than 800 sales and service points have been established across Europe, roughly double the network size compared with 2024.

Leapmotor has entered several additional European markets in recent months, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Czechia, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.

The expansion helped boost Leapmotor's European sales to more than 17,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2025, compared with around 1,300 units in the same period of 2024.
