Both plug-in hybrids and gasoline-electric hybrids require refueling, but all of the energy in a gasoline-electric hybrid comes from gasoline. It can be so fuel-efficient, in large part because it avoids the traditional fuel car compared to the scene, and uses pure electricity instead, such as when starting or when traffic jams. At high speed, because pure electric driving at this time has no advantage, it switches to pure fuel mode, and only when the motor is accelerated at high speed will intervene to "add a force." The hybrid does not rely on charging piles, and its performance is stable under any circumstances, whether it is high speed or low speed.
The plug-in hybrid model has two energy input sources, one is charged by our charging pile, and the other is gasoline. In our daily use scenario, if we commute within 80km in the city, we can complete the commute only in pure electricity mode, which can achieve zero emissions, and the cost of using the car is very low. But we need to have the conditions at home to install charging piles. In addition, if the battery power is less than 10%, the engine will be forced to charge the battery, then the vehicle's fuel consumption is very high. Because the engine not only needs to drive the vehicle, it also needs to charge the battery, which is dual, not only the power is worse, but also the fuel consumption will be higher. So if the plug-in hybrid model can not be charged extra, then its economy will become very poor.

 

With different license plates
The most important and the most obvious difference is that the two hang the license plate is not the same, plug-in hybrid models hang the green plate of new energy, do not account for the indicators of fuel vehicles, and gas-electric hybrid vehicles can only hang the ordinary blue plate, accounting for the indicators of fuel vehicles. Due to the special advantages of plug-in hybrid models, in some restricted cities, plug-in hybrid has become another very good choice after pure electric.
