Li Auto i8:Pure Electric SUV Officially Launched with VLA Driver Model
On July 29, Li Auto officially launched its second all-electric vehicle, the Li Auto i8. The new model comes in three variants and adopts a design language similar to the Li Auto MEGA. Positioned as a mid-to-large-size pure electric SUV, it delivers a CLTC range of up to 720 km on a single charge.
Yacht-Inspired Design for Panoramic Visibility
The Li Auto i8 introduces an all-new exterior design. Its MEGA-style front-end contributes to a low drag coefficient of 0.218, enhancing aerodynamics. The SUV features a dual-tone body, short front overhang, and long rear overhang, creating a visual crossover between SUV and MPV styling. This design also improves interior spaciousness.
In terms of size, the i8 measures 5085 mm (length) × 1960 mm (width) × 1740 mm (height), with a 3050 mm wheelbase. It is a 6-seat electric SUV available in three standard colors (black, white, silver) and two special editions (Sky Blue and Elephant Grey).

Inside, the Li Auto i8 follows the brand's familiar design language. The dashboard setup includes a steering-wheel-mounted mini display, AR-HUD, and a dual screen for the center console and passenger side. Interior color options include white, gray-brown, and orange. For convenience, the second-row step-in height is only 401 mm.

A Powerful, All-Terrain Electric SUV Experience
The Li Auto i8 Every i8 uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.The front motor delivers 150 kW, and the rear one produces 250 kW, giving a total power output of 400 kW.The top speed reaches 180 km/h.Notably, The Li Auto also introduces its in-house silicon carbide drive motor for the first time.At the same time, air suspension lets the car adjust height for various road conditions.
