BYD Yuan Plus electric crossover: official data, size, and features
Official data regarding the new BYD Yuan Plus electric crossover has been released in China. This information originates from the database of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, where automotive manufacturers register new models prior to their commercial launch.

The specifications indicate a significant increase in the vehicle's dimensions, now measuring 4665 mm in length, 1895 mm in width, and 1675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2770 mm. In comparison, the current model's length is 4455 mm, rendering the updated version approximately 20 centimeters longer. Although the front-end design retains essential elements of the previous Yuan Plus, its aesthetic now more closely resembles BYD's flagship models.
Furthermore, there are suggestions that a lidar system may be available as an optional feature, potentially enhancing the vehicle's driver assistance capabilities. The new electric crossover will offer two powertrain variants, equipped with electric motors delivering maximum outputs of either 200 kW or 240 kW. It is also anticipated to incorporate a second-generation Blade battery.
BYD asserts that this battery supports ultra-fast charging, enabling a charge from 10% to 70% in approximately five minutes. Moreover, even under low-temperature conditions near -20 degrees Celsius, the battery can achieve roughly 97% charge within about 12 minutes.
BYD continues to expand its footprint in the electric vehicle market aggressively. The increased vehicle size, advanced charging technology, and potential lidar integration exemplify the efforts of Chinese manufacturers to assert leadership within the electric crossover segment.
