SU7 was developed under the codename MS11. The design team is led by former BMW chief designer Li Tianyuan. According to Lei, he rejected three designs due to durability issues. Xiaomi pitted the car against the Tesla Model 3.
The Max version of the sedan features an air suspension with adaptive shock absorbers, an active louver grille and an active tail with four adjustment levels. Xiaomi claims the SU7 has the lowest wind drag coefficient in the world at 0.195.
The SU7 comes with a 16.1-inch, 3K resolution touchscreen infotainment center. The infotainment system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 monolithic system (SoC) and is based on Xiaomi HyperOS. In terms of intelligent driving, the standard version is equipped with a driver assistance system called Xiaomi Pilot Pro, which uses an Nvidia Drive Orin SoC with a chip computing power of 84 TOPS. The Pro and Max models come with the Xiaomi Pilot Max, which uses two Nvidia Drive Orin SoCs to reach 508 TOPS. The Xiaomi Pilot has 16 different driver assistance features in standard mode.
The SU7 uses components from a number of international suppliers, including Bosch, Brembo, Continental, ThyssenKrupp, ZF, Benteler, Schaeffler and Nexteer.
The SU7 comes in four models: standard, Pro, Max and Ultra. Xiaomi said that the SU7 standard version is a rear-drive single motor with a rated power of 220 kW (295 hp; 299 PS), peak torque 400 N·m (40.8 kg·m; 295 lb·ft), 100 km acceleration 5.28s, the top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph), using a 400V voltage platform equipped with 73.6kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, pure battery life 700km (CLTC).
The SU7 Pro version is a rear-drive single motor rated at 220 kW (295 hp; 299 PS), peak torque 400 N·m (40.8 kg·m; 295 lb·ft), 100 km acceleration of 5.7s, the top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph), using a 400V voltage platform equipped with 94.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, pure battery life of 830 km (CLTC).
The SU7 Max is equipped with a front induction asynchronous permanent magnet synchronous motor and an adjustable shock absorber. Rated power 495 kW (664 hp; 673 PS), peak torque 838 N·m (85.5 kg·m; 618 lb·ft). 100km acceleration of 2.78s, the top speed of 265 km/h (165 mph), using 800V voltage platform [Note 1] equipped with 101kWh nickel-cobalt-manganate lithium battery named "Kirin" produced by Ningde Times, the battery life can reach 800km (CLTC).
SU7 Ultra uses a super three-motor system, 1548PS super horsepower, zero acceleration 1.98s, the design maximum speed of 350km/h, Millet SU7 Ultra maximum downforce can reach 285kg. The Mi SU7 Ultra has 17 carbon fibers, including the roof and steering wheel, with a total of 3.74m². It will be officially released on February 27, 2025
